Am I permitted to contact this number?
DNC screening checks Federal, State, and complainer registries so telemarketing teams can suppress numbers consumers have registered to block sales calls and texts.
DNC Screening · Do Not Call compliance
Federal and state Do Not Call lists are suppression registries businesses must check before telemarketing calls and texts. SubscriberVerify now includes Federal DNC registry screening at no additional cost—alongside carrier lookup, litigator screening, and deliverability intelligence in one platform.
Telemarketers must scrub against the National DNC Registry at least every 31 days. Violators may face fines up to $53,088 per call—each contact can count as a separate violation.
The complete pre-outreach picture
SubscriberVerify helps teams answer the full compliance and deliverability stack—not just whether a number is reachable, but whether outreach is allowed, advisable, and likely to deliver.
DNC screening checks Federal, State, and complainer registries so telemarketing teams can suppress numbers consumers have registered to block sales calls and texts.
Litigator screening flags TCPA serial plaintiffs, repeat filers, and high-risk numbers before a single call or text creates lawsuit exposure.
Carrier lookup confirms line type, carrier assignment, and whether the number is active, ported, or deactivated.
Line-type, SMS-capable landline, deactivated, and ported-number signals help you avoid wasted spend on numbers that will never connect.
Time zone, geolocation, and carrier intelligence help teams route outreach at the right time through the right channel.

Federal Do Not Call Registry
The FTC maintains the National Do Not Call Registry. Consumers register at no cost, and numbers remain on the list unless removed by the user. If a number is registered, telemarketers generally cannot call or text it for marketing purposes.
Under the FTC Telemarketing Sales Rule and FCC TCPA, calling lists must be scrubbed against the National DNC Registry at least every 31 days.
Numbers stay on the federal registry until the consumer removes them—ongoing list hygiene is not optional.
Registered numbers cannot receive telemarketing calls or promotional texts unless a valid exemption or consent applies.
Several categories of callers are exempt from National DNC rules—but commercial calls through third-party telemarketers often still require compliance.
State Do Not Call lists
State lists may impose additional requirements beyond federal rules. Businesses operating in those states may need more frequent scrubbing, registration fees, or broader call-type coverage—including some B2B and mobile outreach.
